Search Databases

The extensive TOADAL knowledgebase provides access to a variety of data types at all levels of synthesis. It contains thousands of searchable documents and graphics including:

Information and data can be retrieved from three individual TOADAL databases: the Document Management System (DMS), a Geographic Information Systems Database (GIS), and the Relational Outcrop Analog Database (ROAD). The databases are cross-referenced so search strategy is not limited to a single database. This flexibility provides access to any data type from any of the three thematic search engines described below.

1. Search the DMS by keyword or content.

Search by keyword, geologic attribute, geographic location, or resource/data type to find general or specific information related to a particular topic.

2. Search the GIS database by geographic attributes.

Select a geographic area to retrieve all or a portion of data generated from and related to that specific location. The TOADAL tool uses ArcIMS for GIS queries. For help with the ArcIMS platform, go to the help pages.

3. Search ROAD for dimensional data.

Access raw data, graphs, and spreadsheets generated by outcrop measurement and characterization of sedimentary bodies. Filter data by body type, scalar hierarchy, stratigraphic position, paleogeographic position, or deepwater pattern type.
